You will find the modal superposition tool in the details frame of the assembly

When working with the modal superposition tool, following workflow is typical:

1.

Add new input/output channels. An I/O channel is any geometry attached to the

mesh of an FE model.

a.

Define name of the geometry. Here you should input a meaningful but short

name.

b.

Select the main geometry. You can do this by selecting e.g. a surface in the

model and then click on the “Update” button.

c.

Optionally select the reference geometry. This is needed only if the applied

force is an internal force (e.g. force exerted by a linear direct drive) or if you

want to measure a relative displacement, velocity or acceleration (e.g. linear

encoder)

Select the output derivative (only for output channels).
